Design options let you keep multiple versions of a plan in one project. Compare layouts, densities, or schemes without duplicating projects. The active option shows next to the project name in the top-left.
Create and switch options
- Click the + in the options menu to create a new design option (you get a copy of your current layout to modify) or Create empty option to start blank.
- Every new project automatically starts as your first option.
- Switch between options from the options menu. Each option keeps its own metrics, and options can even have different program requirements: bring in different programs, or add and change requirements per option on the fly.
- Copy and paste between options for quick adjustments.
- Options work everywhere: toggle between them in diagram mode, in walkthrough mode, and when exporting to PDF.
- Collaborate in parallel: invite colleagues and work on different options simultaneously.
- Levels can differ between options; if the level you're viewing doesn't exist in the option you switch to, Hypar moves you to the closest available level.
Manage options
Manage design options lets you rename, duplicate, and delete options. Duplicating copies as "{name} (Copy)", a quick way to branch a scheme. Deleting an option permanently removes elements exclusive to it.
Export options
PDF export can include all options (or all options and all levels) in a single export, useful for option-comparison sets.
Options in Revit
When you Load Project from the Revit add-in, you select the project and which option to bring in. You can load a different option later, but it replaces the currently loaded one in your Revit model.
