Hypar connects directly to dRofus, so you can plan against your dRofus program and carry the data through to Revit.

Import from dRofus

Choose Import requirements... → Import from dRofus, pick your dRofus server, sign in, and select the project. Hypar loads the data and you're ready to plan.

What you get

  • Requirements are grouped with totals based on the programmed areas' gross amounts. Click the required areas to see the gross/net factor; click the required counts for room-level details.
  • Most rooms import as unique spaces you can track individually. Rooms sharing the same name, programmed area, department, and sub-department combine into one requirement with a count.
  • Drag and drop to place, as with any requirement. Rooms arrive with locked areas (unlock in the capsule menu) and default 5¼" / 135 mm walls.

Keeping data in sync (one-way: dRofus → Hypar)

  • Program edits must be made in dRofus first. Save there, then click Import requirements again in Hypar to refresh. Changes made in Hypar don't sync back to dRofus.
  • Hypar lets you exceed required room counts or create new rooms. Reconcile extras before exporting to Revit.

Continuing to Revit with dRofus data

  1. Install both the Hypar and dRofus Revit add-ins.
  1. Log out of dRofus (in its add-in), then Load Project from the Hypar add-in. Rooms arrive with the room name and a unique dRofus room ID parameter.
  1. Log back into dRofus, choose the project, and click Synchronize. Rooms auto-link: Hypar uses your default configuration's key attribute, or the dRofus room ID parameter if there's no default. If attributes don't display, edit the key attribute (Attribute configurations → Room to Revit room) to link the room ID, or ask your firm's dRofus admin.
  1. Rule of thumb: never run Hypar's Load Project while logged into dRofus, since both touch the same rooms. Log out, load or reload, then log back in and re-sync.
